Registration has opened for the “Water Infrastructure Conference: A National Conversation in Flint”. The conference is bringing together local governments and key stakeholders in a national conversation about the urgent need for reinvestment in critical water infrastructure. The conference will be held March 7-9, 2017 at the Riverfront Banquet Facility in Flint. Attendees will include individuals involved in the operation, maintenance, design, management or administration of a municipal water supply, as well as local elected officials and community leaders from around the country.
The goal of the conference is to highlight water infrastructure issues, share lessons learned from the City of Flint and other cities around the country, and present new technologies and innovations to individuals involved in the operation, maintenance, design, management or administration of aging water works infrastructure.
The conference will hear from several speakers, including; Governor Rick Snyder, Flint Mayor Karen Weaver, and Keith Creagh, Director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
