Below is a snapshot of some of the legislation that was introduced this week:

  • SB 54 – Allows a resident at the age of 16 to preregister to vote
  • SB 55 – Creates no-reason absentee voting
  • SB 56 – Allows online voter registration
  • SB 69 – Makes changes to what information is disclosed during the state procurement process
  • SJR A – Changes what school aid funds may be used for
  • SJR B – Ensures equal per pupil funding statewide
  • HB 4066 – Creates an Interstate Medical Licensure compact
  • HB 4072 & 4073 – Prohibition and sentencing guidelines for participating in a gang
  • HB 4080 – Energy improvement financing for certain school districts
  • HB 4083 – Deduction of pension tax for those 64 and older
  • HB 4086 – Licenses and regulations of home inspection services
  • HB 4089 – Sentencing guidelines for failing to yield or stop for emergency vehicles
  • HB 4101, 4102 & 4103 – Changes to paroling medically frail prisoners
  • HR 13 – Resolution encouraging the repeal of the Affordable Care Act
