Sarah Szurpicki has been named director of the Office of Sixty by 30. The office is focused on implementing Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s goal of having at least 60% of Michigan’s population obtain a college degree or in-demand certificate by 2030. Additionally, in her role she will oversee all the operational activities and implementation of workforce initiatives such as Future for Frontliners, Michigan Reconnect, and other affiliated programs.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Szurpicki worked at a consulting firm and a non-partisan think tank. She is a graduate of Harvard University.
