Through the primary election on August 2 on the MLC Blog we will highlight races for which the primary is the key race due to the voter base. Candidate’s website and professional information is listed when available.
The 28th House District is located in southeast Michigan, including portions of Monroe and Wayne Counties, portions of Taylor and Frenchtown Township, and Flat Rock, Rockwood, Woodhaven, Berlin Township and Brownstone Charter Township.
The district has a 52.3% Democratic base, which will make it competitive this November. While the Democratic candidate will sail through the primary race, given he’s the only candidate, the Republican candidates will need to work to win their parties’ nomination in August in order to face Robert Kull in November.
