The Michigan Democratic Party is holding their Nominating Convention on August 25 – 26 at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. The party will select their candidates for the State Board of Education, and various University Boards. Earlier in the year at their Endorsement Convention, the party endorsed their candidates for Attorney General, Secretary of State, and the Michigan Supreme Court.
On August 25, the Michigan Republican Party is holding their 2018 State Convention at the Lansing Center. The party will select their candidates for Attorney General, Secretary of State, the Michigan Supreme Court, the State Board of Education, and various University Boards.
The House and Senate are continuing their in-district work period. Session and committee meetings are not scheduled to be held.
