Senator Ken Horn (R-Frankenmuth) introduced legislation this week allowing the Department of Transportation and the Office of Future Mobility to work with the private sector to create and put into use automated vehicles roadway technology. The legislation follows recommendations included in the Council of Future Mobility and Electrification report and builds on previous efforts to increase autonomous vehicle research and testing in Michigan. The bill was referred to the Senate Committee on Economic and Small Business Development for consideration.
