No-Fault Reforms Become Law

Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation making major reforms to Michigan’s auto no-fault insurance system. The plan provides guaranteed rate reduction for eight years, allows drivers a choice in how much Personal Injury Protection they choose to purchase, bans the use of non-driving factors in setting rates, and sets a fee schedule for hospitals and providers treating auto-related injuries.
