An explanation of how electricity is transmitted throughout the Upper Peninsula is on the agenda for the next meeting of the U.P. Energy Task Force on June 9. Presentations will center around the current state of electrical transmission in the U.P. from power producers to end users. Following the presentations, and a work session, there will also be time for public comment. The meeting will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. using Microsoft Teams.
The Task Force must submit its report on overall U.P. energy issues and alternatives to Governor Whitmer by March 31, 2021.
