This week, the United States Supreme Court ruled a Federal law banning commercial sports betting was unconstitutional. Originally enacted in 1992, the law prohibited most states from making their own laws allowing sports betting. Following the Court’s decision, it will be up to each state to decide if they want to allow sports betting and to set up the regulatory structure necessary.
