State Provides Recommendations for Safe Voting

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released recommendations this week for how voters, poll workers, and election officials can remain health and reduce the spread of COVID-19 during the general election. The department is encouraging the following behaviors:

    • Wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose
    • Washing your hands before entering and after leaving a polling location
    • While in the polling location, frequently use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
    • Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow
    • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance
