Senate Oversight Committee Releases Election Report

This week, the Senate Oversight Committee released their report on Michigan’s November 2020 general election. Most notably, the committee found no evidence of fraud in the election. However, they did find some areas they feel could be improved upon. Led by chairman Senator Ed McBroom (R-Vulcan), the committee’s work reviewing the election included:

- Conducted over 30 hours of public hearings
- Heard from 87 witnesses, experts, and citizens
- Reviewed over 400 pages of testimony, including from several county clerks
- Subpoenaed documents from the secretary of state and the cities of Detroit and Livonia
