On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof (R-West Olive) announced the appointment of Craig Ryan as his new Chief of Staff. Mr. Ryan currently serves as Deputy Chief and Legislative Director for the Majority Leader. Prior to working in the Michigan Senate, he worked as Deputy Policy Director and Senior Policy Advisor in the Michigan House Republican Policy Office. “Congratulations to Craig on his new role! He brings to the job a wealth of knowledge and several years of experience and we can’t think of a better person for the job,” said Brendan Ringlever of MLC.
Mr. Ryan is replacing current chief of staff, Bob DeVries, who is leaving the position for the private sector.
