The Army Corp of Engineers released their schedule for three public hearings on their proposal to deal with invasive species in the Great Lakes. Specifically, they are hosting meetings to discuss and hear public comments regarding their draft report on the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study. The main objective of the study is to find ways to prevent the spread of invasive species between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River.
Three hearings will be held during September, in Chicago, IL, Muskegon, MI, and Joliet, IL. For those who can’t attend in -person, there will be a Facebook Live feed of the meetings.
