District Overview
The 88th House District is located in west Michigan and includes portions of Muskegon and Ottawa Counties.
Commentary
The district has a 57% Republican base; thus, the winner of that primary race will likely win in November. Representative VanWoerkom is running for his third term in office, in a redrawn district. While his opponent in the primary race doesn’t have direct campaign experience, he did receive the endorsement of former President Trump, which may provide a bit of a boost.
