District Overview

The 69^th House District is located in Ingham County. The district includes Locke Township, Meridian Township, Williamston Township, and portions of the City of East Lansing and the City of Lansing.

Commentary

House Democratic Leader Sam Singh is serving his third and final term in this office, leaving this seat open. The district has a 63% Democratic base, meaning the winner of the Democratic primary race will most likely win the general election in November. This primary race is seen as very competitive, with no clear front runner yet.

Julie Brixie – Environmental consultant, Meridian Township Treasurer, former member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Commission
