District Overview

The 12^th House District is located in Wayne County. It includes Romulus, Taylor, and a portion of Van Buren Township.

Commentary

Representative Alex Garza is running for his second term in office. During his first term, he served on the following committees; Agriculture, Local Government and Municipal Finance, and Regulatory Reform. This seat has a 65% Democratic base.

In 2016, President Trump received 40.58% of the vote, while in 2018 Governor Whitmer received 66.23% of the vote.
