This week, it was announced that former State Treasurer Kevin Clinton will serve as executive director of the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA). He replaces former director, Gloria Freeland, who is retiring next month.
Additionally, Ann Flood was named as assistant executive director of the MCCA. Ms. Flood previously served as the director of the Department of Insurance and Financial Services from 2013- 2015.
The MCCA was established by the legislature in 1978. It is a non-profit association, funded by annual premium assessments on insurance companies. They reimburse auto insurers for costs associated with payout under Michigan’s no-fault auto insurance.
