New Chief Infrastructure Officer Announced

Zachary Kolodin has been selected to serve as Michigan’s chief information officer and director of the Michigan Infrastructure Office. Mr. Kolodin currently serves as Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s public policy counsel. Prior to that, he worked as a private practice attorney and served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Edward R. Korman. Mr. Kolodin has also worked with Americorps and the Roosevelt Institute. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and New York University School of Law.

The governor also appointed Tiffany Brown as senior advisor at the Michigan Infrastructure Office. She currently serves as Governor Whitmer’s communication director. Prior to that, she served as the public information officer for the Department of Environmental Quality and the Michigan State Police. She is a graduated of the University of Michigan-Flint and Michigan State University.

The Michigan Infrastructure Office was established by Governor Whitmer to ensure resources sent to Michigan under the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act are used effectively and efficiently. The office will be responsible for organizing and executing the governor’s vision for infrastructure, coordinating across state government, marshalling resources, and partnering with local official, federal partners, and outside stakeholders.
