The 2017 National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Exchange has started in St. Louis. The NASPO Exchange is an opportunity for vendors to meet and network with state procurement officials from around the country. The event kicked-off on Sunday with an inspiring presentation from former NFL player and coach and ESPN personality, Herm Edwards.
Sunday also saw an opportunity for vendors and state officials to breakout into separate sessions to discuss supplier relations. The ideas from these breakout sessions was discussed as part of a panel session on Monday, featuring MLC's Tony Des Chenes.
The remainder of the conference will feature regional meetings, highlighting procurement activities from around the country, sessions on navigating through the procurement process, IT procurement, as well as breakout sessions on procuring commodities and services.
