Steve Silver, executive director of the Michigan PFAS Response Team (MPART), has announced his retirement. Mr. Silver has served in that role since 2019, prior to that he spent more than 30 years with the state environmental agency in several waste management roles.
MPART is housed within the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). Department Director Liesl Clark has named Abigail Hendershott as the new MPART executive director effective April 1, 2021. Currently, she manages EGLE’s Grand Rapid District Office for the Remediation and Redevelopment Division.
