Michigan Supreme Court Announces October Oral Arguments

This week, the Michigan Supreme Court announced the cases for October 2016 oral arguments. The court will hear eleven arguments on October 5 and 6. As has been tradition, the first case of the new session will be held in the old Supreme Court courtroom in the State Capitol building. The remaining cases will be heard in the Hall of Justice. Among the arguments is a dispute over funding the 45^th District Court, which sits in one city but encompasses several cities. Another argument is whether a plaintiff is entitled to no-fault personal protection insurance benefits from an injury sustained while taking personal items from his vehicle.
