The Michigan Legislative Black Caucus voted this week to elect leadership for the upcoming 2019-2020 legislative session.

  • Chair – Representative Sheldon Neeley (D-Flint)
  • Executive Vice Chair – Representative Leslie Love (D-Detroit)
  • 1st Vice Chair – Senator Marshall Bullock (D-Detroit)
  • 2nd Vice Chair – Senator Erika Geiss (D-Taylor)
  • Secretary – Representative Karen Whitsett (D-Detroit)
  • Treasurer – Representative Brenda Carter (D-Pontiac)
  • Historian – Representative Padma Kuppa (D-Troy)
  • Chaplain – Senator Adam Hollier (D-Detroit) and Representative Cynthia Johnson (D-Detroit)
