On Monday, the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) issued emergency administrative rules for the purpose of implementing the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA). The emergency administrative rules are needed to enable LARA, through its Bureau of Medical Marihuana Regulation (BMMR), to fully implement the MMFLA. The bureau believes the rules will ensure an efficient regulatory structure for businesses, as well as ensure access to safety-tested medical marihuana for qualifying patients.
