McDonald’s announced the HACER More Scholarship, which will provide 100 additional scholarships for Hispanic students. The increased financial strain caused by the pandemic has caused additional uncertainty amongst families working to pay for higher education. As a result, McDonald’s hopes to alleviate some of that financial strain through the awarded scholarships.
This program is an extension of the annual HACER National Scholarship. The two scholarship programs combined will be awarded to a total of 130 students. Since 1985, the HACER National Scholarship has awarded $31.5 million to Hispanic college students pursuing higher education.
