The Board of State Canvassers is meeting on Monday, August 1, in Lansing. They have several items on their agenda, including considering an initiative petition submitted by Raise Michigan, which seeks to increase the state’s minimum wage, and consideration of a motion to establish a uniform challenge deadline for new political party petitions.
The Michigan primary election is being held on Tuesday, August 2. For more information on your voter information, please visit http://www.michigan.gov/vote. The House and Senate are schedule to hold session on Wednesday, August 3. However, the House has announced they won’t take attendance or hold votes.
