On the evening of Monday, February 1, the Presidential Iowa Caucuses will be held, the first primary in the nation for the upcoming Presidential election.

The House and Senate are scheduled to hold session Tuesday – Thursday.

On Wednesday, February 3 at 9 a.m. the U.S. Oversight and Government Reform Committee will hold a hearing examining the federal administration of the safe drinking water act in Flint. The hearing will be held in the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday, February 3, the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on K-12, School Aid, Education, will hear a presentation from State Superintendent Brian Whiston on Michigan’s failing schools and the Federal reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
