Looking Ahead to the Week of April 23 – 29, 2016

Apr 22, 2016

On Monday, April 25, the Joint Select Committee on the Flint Water Public Health Emergency will hold a hearing.  They will hear testimony from the directors of the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Health and Human Services.

On Monday, April 25, the Board of State Canvassers will meet to consider a recall petition filed against Governor Rick Snyder based on his appointment of Steven Rhodes as emergency manager for Detroit Public Schools.

The House and Senate are scheduled to be in session Tuesday – Thursday.

In May, the State Board of Canvassers will meet to certify the candidates who filed earlier this week for the primary election in August.  After that date, MLC will email to our clients an updated version of “Michigan’s 2016 Primary Election: The Candidates & District by District Analysis.”
