The House and Senate finalized a plan this week appropriating $1.2 billion in federal funding. The proposal seeks to provide funding to aid Michigan’s response to the ongoing pandemic, including critical needs such as testing and filling the growing need for healthcare workers.

The bill will be sent to Governor Gretchen Whitmer for her consideration. In a statement following the bill passage, she stated “this supplemental is a testament to what’s possible when Republicans and Democrats work together to put Michiganders first. After reviewing, I look forward to signing it and getting these resources out the door.”
