Legislature Issues Subpoena

During a rare Saturday committee hearing, members of the House and Senate Oversight Committees approved a request to seek documents and communications on Michigan’s election process. A subpoena will be issued to Michigan’s Bureau of Elections to request documents and communications relating to the mailing of absent voter ballot applications, the mailing of postcards with voting information, and the mailing of letters to people who had a Michigan driver’s license or state ID and were eligible, but not registered to vote in Michigan.
