On Thursday, the Michigan House and Senate wrapped up their final session day for the 2015-2016 legislative term. At the end of the month the legislature will adjourn sine die. At that time, all legislation will die, except those bills that have already been passed by both chambers and are awaiting final consideration from Governor Rick Snyder. Also, Legislators that will serve in the 2017-2018 term, which begins in January, are also beginning to prepare bills for introduction.
In the upcoming weeks, on the blog we will post full wrap-ups from the 98th Legislature; including legislation passed, proposals that didn’t make it to final approval, and the changes in the membership of the legislature.
