Legislature Creates Special Task Force

To provide oversight of the executive office during the pandemic, a joint bipartisan oversight committee has been created. They will review past, present, and future executive orders and any issues that arise during their implementation. The committee will submit a summary of their findings to the Legislature and any recommendations they may have on potential action the Legislature should take to address the pandemic.

The Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic will have members from both chambers and both political parties. It will be chaired by Representative Matt Hall (R-Emmett Twp.) and consist of five members from the House of Representatives, three from the House Republican Caucus and two from the House Democratic Caucus, and five members of the Senate, three from the Senate Republican Caucus and two from the Senate Democratic Caucus.
