Legislator Officially Resigns

Former State Representative Derek Miller (D-Warren) officially resigned his House seat on Tuesday, February 2, after being selected as the Macomb County Treasurer last week. Later the same day, he was sworn into office as the county treasurer. Governor Rick Snyder may call for a special primary election and special general election for the residents of the 28^th House District to select a new representative, however, that has not yet been determined. The 28^th district includes part of Macomb County, including the City of Center Line and a portion of the City of Warren.
