Below is a snapshot of some of the legislation that was introduced this week.

HB 4276 – Creates a commission to hear Freedom of Information Act complaints
HB 4279 – Prohibits increases to auto insurance due to claims caused by a pothole
HB 4284 – Mandates the department to create a controlled substance prescription drug monitoring system
HB 4301 – Mandates public posting of state employees’ title and salary
SB 195 – Changes laws regarding out-of-state licensed attorneys practicing in Michigan
SB 198 – Mandates music education in kindergarten through fifth grade
SB 206 – Establishes the Congressional Redistricting Commission and creates guidelines
SB 208 – Allows for free parking for a person over 75 years old, parking in a metered space or publicly owned parking structure
