Below is a snapshot of some of the legislation that was introduced this week.

HB 4251 – Stop the increase to the registration fee
HB 4259 – Expands the information the Auditor General may access, to include electronic information
HB 4264 – Increases personal exemption on taxable income from $4,000 to $6,000
HB 4265 – Requires a vehicle to have 5 feet of distance when passing a bicycle
SB 170 – Requires a vehicle to have 5 feet of distance when passing a bicycle
SB 177 – Requires state departments to use a bid scorecard system for all contracts over $100,000
SB 182 – Makes changes to child care licensing requirements
SB 185 – Increases the minimum wage to $15 per hour, beginning January 1, 2018
