Human Trafficking Commission Annual Report Issued

This week, the 2015 Michigan Human Trafficking Commission Annual Report was presented to Governor Rick Snyder and the legislature. It highlights the work undertaken by the commission and sets the stage for the continuing work moving forward. The report highlights the efforts of the commission over the past year, including developing recommended legislative changes, developing training videos for medical professionals to identify the signs of human trafficking, and identifying grants for local and state law enforcement and medical professionals.

The Human Trafficking Commission was signed into law in 2014. It is comprised of representatives from government, law enforcement, medical professionals, and advocates.
