On December 22, Governor Rick Snyder announced the appointment of Judge John Hallacy to the 37th Circuit Court in Calhoun County, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Conrad Sindt. Prior to the appointment, Judge Hallacy was a Judge in the 10th District Court where he served since being elected in November 2008. Previously he served as the Calhoun County Prosecuting Attorney. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Judge Hallacy must seek election in November 2016 for the remainder of the term and again in 2018 for a full term.
