Governor Signs 2-Year Vehicle Registration into Law

Michigan drivers can choose to renew their vehicle registration for two-years under legislation signed into law this week. Under the change, signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, drivers can forgo the traditional annual registration when renewing their registration with the Secretary of State. The change is aimed at making services more convenient for residents and alleviating some of the strain that Secretary of State branches have been experiencing for years, especially during the pandemic.
