Governor Gretchen Whitmer is calling for a $300 million expansion of the MI Clean Water Plan, using Federal American Rescue Plan dollars. This builds upon her previously announced $200 million expansion to replace lead service lines statewide. Between these two expansions and previous announcements, Governor Whitmer has proposed spending $885 million to build up water infrastructure in Michigan’s communities, schools, and homes.
