On Wednesday, Governor Rick Snyder announced the appointment of Robert Kengis to the 48th Circuit Court, Allegan County. He has worked as a prosecutor in Allegan County since 1992; serving as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from 2011 to 2016, before being elected Prosecuting Attorney in 2016.
Judge Kengis earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Wayne State University Law School.
He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Kevin W. Cronin and must seek election in November 2018 to fill the remainder of the term.
