Governor Heads to Europe

Governor Rick Snyder is leading an eight-day investment mission to Europe, focusing on attracting job-creating business investments and promoting Michigan’s strength in the automotive, mobility, and tourism sectors. He left for the mission on April 18 and will travel throughout Europe through April 25. “Throughout his eight years, Governor Snyder has made economic development and attracting tourism a top priority. He’s traveled all over the world, from Israel to China to Japan, and many more places, touting Michigan as a top place to both travel and do business,” stated Tony Des Chenes of MLC.

His first stop will be in Austria to meet with executives from a range of companies and government leaders. Next, he’s headed to the United Kingdom to visit mobility facilities and large employers, as well as a travel media event at the British Motor Museum. Next on his agenda is a trip to Hannover, Germany, to meet with executives from global automotive suppliers and other leading manufacturers. For his final stop, Governor Snyder will visit Amsterdam to meet with Dutch company executives and government officials.
