General Election Overview: 98th House District

District Overview

The 98^th House District includes portions of Bay and Midland Counties.

Commentary

Representative Gary Glenn (R) opted against running for a third term in this seat in order to run for an open Senate seat. His wife, Annette Glenn, is running as the Republican candidate in this race. While the district has a 61% Republican base, the Democrats are keeping a closer eye than normal on this seat in hopes that the much talked about Blue Wave hits areas like Midland.

Democratic Candidate:

Sarah Schulz – Vice President of People Services at a national nonprofit, worked in human resources

Republican Candidate:

Annette Glenn – Small business owner, former legislative and Congressional staffer
