General Election Overview: 94th House District

District Overview

The 94^th House District is located in Saginaw County.

Commentary

Representative Tim Kelly (R) is serving his final term in this seat, due to term limits. The district has a 60% Republican base but in 2014 voted for the Democratic candidate in the Governor’s race and the U.S. Senate race. Despite that, the district generally votes for Republican candidates.

Democratic Candidate:

Dave Adams – Athletic director at Swan Valley Schools, former teacher

Republican Candidate:

Rodney Wakeman – Owner and director of Wakeman Funeral Homes, Inc., member of the Michigan State Board of Examiners in Mortuary Science
