General Election Overview: 84th House District

District Overview

The 84^th House district is located in west Michigan in Kent County and includes Grandville, Walker, and a portion of Grand Rapids.

Commentary

Republicans have a slim advantage in this seat with a 50.5% base. Democratic Representative Glanville is running for her first full term in office after winning special election to the seat in May 2022. She’s facing a political newcomer, Mike Milanowski. While she brings the advantage of incumbency, the seat remains competitive given the newly drawn district lines.

Democratic Candidate:

- Representative Carol Glanville – State Representative, teacher, education administrator and consultant, former Walker City Commissioner.

Republican Candidate:

- Mike Milanowski – Loan officer.
