District Overview

The 81^st House District is located in St. Clair County.

Commentary

Representative Dan Lauwers (R) is term limited from running for reelection, leaving this seat open. The district has a 66% Republican base and has been trending stronger for the GOP each election cycle. Additionally, in 2016 65% of the vote in the presidential election went to Trump.
