District Overview
The 48th House district is located in portions of Jackson, Livingston, and Washtenaw Counties.
Commentary
The district is basically evenly split, with the Democratic party having a 50.5% base. The race features three candidates, none of whom have experience being elected to office. Both the Republican and Democratic parties are campaigning for this seat as they both work to have the majority in the House next year.
