District Overview

The 31^st Senate District is located in Bay, Lapeer, and Tuscola County.

Commentary

Republican Senator Mike Green is term limited from running for this seat again. While, the district has a 61% Republican base, some insiders are giving the Democratic candidate a second look given her moderate leanings.

Democratic Candidate:

Cynthia Luczak – Small Business Owner, Bay County Clerk, president of the Michigan Association of County Clerks.

Republican Candidate:

Kevin Daley – Former State Representative, owner and operator of a family dairy farm, former Arcadia Township trustee, treasurer, and supervisor.
