Energy Task Force Submits Recommendations

The U.P. Energy Task Force submitted their 14 recommendations on propane availability to Governor Gretchen Whitmer. While working on the recommendations, they received more than 800 public comments. The final report includes recommendations to the legislature, the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Michigan Public Service Commission.

The Task Force will now launch its next phase of work, focusing on security, reliability, affordability, and environmental soundness. Also, they will identify and evaluate potential changes that could occur to energy supply and distribution. The final overall report is due to the governor by March 31, 2021.
