Electronic Eavesdropping Protections Introduced

Senator Jim Runestad (R-White Lake) introduced legislation seeking to increase protections against electronic eavesdropping. His legislation would prohibit new methods of accessing conversations from a remote location. Senator Runestad points to the increased ubiquity of smart devices in our homes, such as smart TVs, as a reason to increase protections. The legislation has been referred to the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety.
