Downtown Lansing Restaurant Wins National Contest

At the South Beach Wine and Food Festival’s Burger Bash, Weston’s Kewpee, a downtown Lansing staple, won the Judge’s Choice award for their olive burger. The event was hosted by Rachael Ray, and the judges included hosts from the Food Network, a local news anchor, the founder of Goldbelly, and more. Kewpee, a family-owned and operated restaurant, opened their doors in 1923. The recipe for the olive burger was developed by the current owner’s grandmother and to this day remains a family secret.
