Director Announces Chinese Trade Mission

On Thursday, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Director, Jamie Clover Adams, announced she will lead a trade mission to China this November. The focus of the mission will be connecting Michigan food and agriculture companies with Chinese buyers. The delegation will make stops in Shanghai and Shenzhen and will partake in one-to-one meetings, retail tours, and briefings with U.S. Department of Agriculture officials.

The department is accepting applications for companies that wish to accompany Director Clover Adams on the delegation. The application deadline is August 12, 2016 and the cost is $1,000. The fee covers pre-arranged meetings with buyers, company information translated to Chinese, and in country ground transportation. Companies are responsible for their own flight, hotel, and incidental costs.
